Making Room For The Devil

Yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life.

— John 5:40

There are too many Christians putting up with the devil's mess. We must be fiercely protecting all the things Jesus died on the cross for. We get used to the pain. We manage with having just enough to meet our need. We take medication to cope with our fear and anxiety. Enough is enough! Don't tolerate the devil, run to JESUS!

We have to guard against the enemy on a DAILY basis. It’s not enough to pray for you and your family once a month at a church prayer gathering. We must live our lives as though there's an enemy looking to destroy us…because there is! 1 Peter 5:8 says “Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” He’s coming for those who live their lives carelessly. 

Bishop David Oyedepo often states life must be lived as warfare, not fun-fare! So what’s the enemy? What does it look like? John 10:10 states “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” Anything in your life that comes to steal, kill or destroy you is YOUR ENEMY!

Are you staying awake at night not knowing how you’re going to pay the bills? Anything that STEALS your joy or STEALS your peace is sent from HELL. Is there cancer that’s ravaging your body? Anything that’s sent to KILL you and give you an early expiration date is sent from HELL. Are you in a constant argument with your children or spouse? Turmoil, confusion, and unrest are all things sent from HELL to DESTROY you! Anything sent from hell is an ENEMY. 

Recognize everything in your life that’s causing you stress, heartache and/or pain. Now stand against it and rebuke it! Send it back to hell in Jesus name! Don’t make room for the devil and his antics. Don’t tolerate the enemy in your house one more minute! Rise up and take action. In Jesus name!

The Remedy For Fear & Doubt


I sought the LORD, and He answered me, And delivered me from all my fears.
— Psalm 34:4

 


It’s not enough to have one meal to sustain you your whole life. I was listening to a minister say that every believer should read three chapters a day and 5 chapters on Sunday. When you make the reading of the Word of God a habit, it gives you a robust spirit, full of ammo and insight to life’s problems. 

If you feel like you've been pushed down or attacked, it’s time to step up your Bible reading life. Just like anything you make a habit of, it starts to affect your body. Reading the Word of God on daily basis hoards off fear and doubt from settling into your mind. 
You can make running a daily task and you’ll complete it. You can make gardening something you do every day and there won’t be any opposition. Reading the Bible, however, will incur the greatest attack because the devil knows how effective it is!!

If you can spend three hours on Facebook, you can read three chapters a day! Don’t let anything deter you from doing it. Three chapters a day will keep the fear away! Now, GO AND READ!

Teach & Command Your Family

19 For I have known (chosen, acknowledged) him [as My own], so that he may teach and command his children and the sons of his house after him to keep the way of the Lord and to do what is just and righteous, so that the Lord may bring Abraham what He has promised him.
— Genesis 18:19 AMPC

God’s promises for greatness are contingent with how you raise your children. Did you know one of the reasons God blessed Abraham was because he could command his children to serve God? Not only did Abraham raise his children to fear the Lord, he raised all the sons of his house to keep the way of the Lord! That takes some serious authority! 

 

If you want God’s promises or His miraculous power to flow through your life, how have you been raising your children? Is it optional for them to go to church? Does ballet or baseball come before youth group or a church night? If the people under your command have no fear of God, how can God trust you with big things? 

 

Genesis 18:19 is clear about why God could bring Abraham what He had promised him. It was because Abraham could TEACH and COMMAND his children to serve Him. Let that sink in. It’s not enough to teach your kids about God, you must command them to do it! There is no opting out with the things of God. You must set the precedence that your family WILL go to heaven! Teach them and command them to adhere to the Word of God. Take time in family Bible study. That is your domain, you must lead the way!


When God sees you can raise your family with the fear of the Lord, everything you’ve been waiting for will swiftly come to pass!

Salad Vs. Meat


There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

If the only source of “food” you feed your spirit comes from a worship CD, you have yourself a problem. After traveling to different places outside of North America, I encountered the same observation. The churches that were thriving had their emphasis on the preaching of the Word of God.
Music is important and necessary but it in no way takes the place of the preaching of God’s Word. In our generation, we see a service with a heavy worship set and little Word. Unfortunately, it only produces starving Christians. They say all the things a Christian should say. They lift up their hands and worship the way Christians should worship but behind the scenes live no different than any unsaved person. When temptation comes, they succumb to it. When an attack comes, they backslide. Why? NO WORD. 

If you choose a church only because it has good music, you’re eating a salad. You have enough to sustain you every now and again, but when the devil comes, you’ll have no strength to fight him. Can you imagine eating a salad twice a week?! You’ll certainly faint in the day of adversity! Proverbs 24:10 says, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” The way to get strength is through God’s Word. Psalm 119:28 says, “My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.” Your strength comes from KNOWING what the Bible says. 

The Word is the meat you eat to sustain your faith. You must hunger for it. You have to ingest it every day to build up your spirit man. Allow it to transform your life! Don’t be a Salad Christian, be Meat Christian. Live holy and blamelessly (2 Peter 3:11) because Jesus is coming back very VERY soon. 

A Debt You Owe


Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law.

— Romans 13:8

 

Did you know there’s a debt you owe? I’m not talking about student loans or medical bills. The Bible says in Romans 13:8 that we must owe no man anything EXCEPT to love one another. As a believer, ESPECIALLY one that feels called to ministry, you have a debt of love to show the world. This love for one another is what compels us to do what we do. 

I often think why it’s so easy for people to walk away from ministry and this is the reason. It’s easy to say God calls you into ministry when you don't recognize there’s a debt you owe. So, they quit the ministry because it’s “too hard” or “the doors were closed.” If you can understand this, EVERYTHING will change!

When you live your life trying to fulfill this debt you owe, nothing in the world will stop you. This is the only thing we can do to give back to a God who saved us from the burning flames of hell. This is how we can show the impact Christ has in our lives. This is what should fuel your ministry and LIFE!

Has He been good to you? Has He spared your life on a few occasions? Are you breathing and reading this? Then there’s a debt you owe. This scripture doesn't take into consideration your emotions or what has happened in your life before this point, it only tells us to love one another. Forgive people, make amends with your co-worker, call your family member, love one another. Do as Jesus did and LOVE people! Let this be the driving force in all you do, in Jesus name! 

Spoiled Brat

Those who mock the poor insult their Maker; those who rejoice at the misfortune of others will be punished.

 Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished. (AMP)

Did you know that scripture was in the Word of God?! Listen, the LAST thing I'd want to be doing is insulting my Maker. If you're one who's ever mocked or puffed yourself up at the expense of someone who's doing or has less than you....READ ON!

When I hear people talk about the poor I often wonder if the love of God is found in their heart. I’m not talking about poverty, I’m talking about individual people. Poverty and people must be looked at with different views. There’s a spirit of poverty that tries to oppress people. The results leave people hopeless, afraid and angry. Nothing good is produced when someone is hopeless, afraid or angry! That’s why Jesus came! Luke 4:18 says, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free”. What’s the Good News to the poor? “he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich” 2 Cor. 8:9.

Your job as a believer isn't to look down on someone who’s on welfare with disgust. Your job as Christian isn't to make snide remarks as to why people don’t have jobs or own homes like you do. Are there some people abusing the system? Oh yes! Are there some people who’ve made stupid choices along the way? Most definitely. Are there some people who are just flat out lazy? You bet. But there are some who’ve been dealt a crappy hand in life. 

From birth, these people have had an uphill battle. No father, a mother who’s in jail, and an uncle that sexually abused them. They have had to raise themselves without the blessing of people who love and genuinely care about them. They’ve had to live their lives apart from God. What if that was you? 

Anyone can see fake from a mile away. People of every background KNOW if you truly love and care for them. As a Christian, we are mandated by God to love our neighbors as OURSELVES (Mark 12:31). Romans 12:9-10 says, “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” 
It’s the goodness of God that draws men to repentance (Romans 2:4). We must hate what’s evil and fight to expose the devil until the day Jesus takes us home. We must also LOVE people. 1 Cor. 13:1 says, “If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” The number one reason for your ministry and life should be found in the love you have for individual people. Remember that the next time you’re tempted to speak a harsh word against someone. Don’t be a spoiled brat. Take into consideration what people have had to deal with in life. 1 Peter 4:8 “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”

What's in the Name of Jesus? The Anointing

And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
— Acts 10:38


Everything you’ll ever need can be unlocked with the name of Jesus. There’s no demon in hell that doesn't recognize that name. Whenever you say it, all darkness flees. Every wicked plan the devil has planned for you or your family’s life comes to a screeching halt. Why? Because Jesus went about doing GOOD and healing ALL who were oppressed by the DEVIL.

Today ends you plight with sickness and disease. The forces of darkness are brought to light because of the name of Jesus. No accident headed for you or your children will take place because you call on that Name! Everything that oppresses you is destroyed now! Whether it’s the demon of poverty or a long-standing problem, at the mention of the name of Jesus, it must come to an end! Isaiah 10:27 says, "And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." The Anointing DESTROYS the heavy yolk! Whatever the devil sent your way to weigh you down or put you in distress is destroyed by the name of Jesus!

He is our Messiah, the Anointed One. He is our Deliver. The Lamb of God. He is our Master and Redeemer. He is Christ the Son of God. Invoke the blessing on your children using that Name. Pronounce their protection using that Name. Decree what belongs to you in that Name. The name is JESUS!

 

What's in the Name of Jesus? Wonder


For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
— Isaiah 9:6

 

The name of Jesus is full of wonder! It carries within itself the ability to do the impossible. That name magnetizes wonders to itself because it is WONDERFUL. God wants us to live a life that causes people to wonder how it is we’re so healthy, prosperous and free. Once you trigger the name of Jesus, an explosion of wonder is set to happen in your life. There are too many believers ill informed as to what’s behind the name of Jesus, so they miss out! Once you understand the power within the name of Jesus, it can be properly activated by faith. 

In Acts 19, the Bible talks about seven magicians who saw Paul do unusual miracles, “so that even handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched his skin were carried away to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out of them.” (Acts 19:12) These men saw the wonder that was in the name of Jesus. So, naturally, they tried to invoke that same power by using it! To their demise, those seven magicians got their butts whooped. Acts 19:15-16 says, “But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, “I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered.”

John 1:12-13 says, “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” When you accept Jesus Christ and BELIEVE Him you receive the right to become a child of GOD. Stop and re-read that last sentence. A dog gives birth to a dog and it has dog qualities. A whale gives birth to a whale and in it has whale abilities. When you become a child of God you are enabled, it is your RIGHT, to carry within yourself God characteristics. What cannot be said about God, cannot be said about you. What God has the capability of doing, YOU have the capability of doing. 

You must first find out like you are right now, what belongs and is afforded to you as a child of the most High God. Wonders belong to you! The supernatural belongs to you. What’s impossible is possible with you! Simply say the name of Jesus! Remind yourself that Jesus is Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace!

What’s in the Name of Jesus? Healing

As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda. There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years. “Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and roll up your mat.” Immediately Aeneas got up. All those who lived in Lydda and Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
— Acts 9:32-35 

 

The name of Jesus has the power to heal. The Bible says in Isaiah 53:5, “But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” The sacrifice of Jesus opened the door for complete freedom from sickness and disease. I don’t think people understand the magnitude of this scripture! Jesus paid the price so that we could be free! So how do we invoke that healing? By using His name! 
The name of Jesus is the access card to let you into the room of divine health and vitality! In Acts 9, Peter saw Aeneas, a crippled man, bedridden for eight years!  How did Aeneas regain his health and ability to walk? Peter simply said, “Jesus Christ heals you, get up and roll up your mat”. Peter didn't lay His hands on Aeneas or sling snot for half an hour begging God to heal him. He simply said the name of Jesus! See the power in that name? 

Don’t get used to “aches and pains” of life. Don’t write off anxiety as normal. Don’t prepare yourself for a long hard road of recovery. Simply say the name of Jesus. The next time you see or feel a symptom say out loud “Jesus Christ heals ME!” Then get up and make yourself a sandwich. It’s that simple. It’s that potent. 

What's in the Name of Jesus? Supremacy

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

— Phil. 2:9

 

The name of Jesus has no equal. It’s a name that has been exalted to the highest place by God the Father. It’s a name that has no match. Everything HAS to bow before that wonderful name. Philippians 2:10-11 says, “that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  By simply mentioning the name of Jesus, everything bows its knee to it. 
Think about that for a moment. The name of Jesus is so powerful that you just have to say it and demons, sickness and anything with a name, BOWS. If it has a name, it BOWS. Arthritis, bows. Poverty, bows. Cancer, bows. Depression, bows. Stagnation, bows! There’s nothing like it! I can’t even make a natural comparison because nothing is as strong as the name of Jesus! 

The next time you hear that name, come to the realization of its supremacy. That’s why people use it in vain (Exodus 20:7)! Have you ever heard someone say “Budda!”? Satan hates it. People who are mastered by Satan hate it. The reason why is because they know they have to take a knee to it. Whether you’re Billy Graham or Adolf Hitler, you bow before that name! Use it wisely! Realize the strength behind the name of Jesus. Every morning you wake up, bless your family with the name of Jesus. Command things you want to be eradicated from your life in the name of Jesus. Ask for promotion in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus is at the highest rank! Use it!!

Ephesians 1:21-23 lays it out for you plainly,

"far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."

God placed all things under the feet of Jesus! Nothing can come against Him! He's FAR ABOVE all rule and authority, power and dominion! What a name!

What’s in the Name of Jesus? - Salvation

And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
— Acts 4:12

 

The name of Jesus has so much power! For too long we’ve underestimated the potency and power in that wonderful name! Don’t neglect the name of Jesus. Don’t leave it out after each prayer. SAY IT. WORSHIP IT. TRUST IT. In the next few days, we’re going to uncover how amazing the name of Jesus really is!

First and foremost, the name of Jesus is the only way we can be saved. The Bible says in Acts 4:12 that there’s salvation in NO OTHER. John 14:6 says “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” The name of Jesus gives us the access we need to God the Father (Ephesians 2:8). He’s the door we must enter for access to the Kingdom of God. In fact, John 10:9 says, “I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture.”

The sacrifice of Jesus provided the power behind His name. Hebrews 10:19-22 says, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.” Hallelujah! 

That beautiful name gave us access to eternal life! Without the name of Jesus, we’d be in hell! But thanks be to God for giving His One and only Son! God the father sowed the only thing He had so that He could reap us, more children!

Only those who call on the name of Jesus and make Him Savior of their life can have unlimited access to His name. Romans 10:9 says, “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Jesus made it so EASY!

You can’t have access to the supernatural things of God without first declaring Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. 

Pray this prayer out loud!

Heavenly Father, 

I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me of all my sins. Wash me with your precious blood. I believe you died for me and on the third day, you were raised back to life that I might be justified. I believe my sins are forgiven. I am a child of God. Thank you for freeing me from the power of sin. I receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for restoring me! Thank you for saving me from hell! In Jesus name, I pray! AMEN!

3 Reasons You Feel Unsatisfied

A miserable heart means a miserable life; a cheerful heart fills the day with song.
— Proverbs 15:15

Complaining is the first fruit of being unsatisfied. Too many people have lost their ability to be grateful because they've allowed dissatisfaction to take root in their lives. Did you know God wants you to enjoy life? Did you know He wants you to wake up with purpose and excitement? If you’ve allowed yourself to be dissatisfied in any area of your life, change it!

Here are three reasons people are unsatisfied. 

You’re not a giver- Did you know giving is a quality that God possesses? If you aren't known to be someone who’s a giver, you’re doing yourself a major disservice. In fact, if you don’t give, I question your love for God.  Proverbs 11:24-25 says, “There is one who scatters, and yet increases all the more, and there is one who withholds what is justly due, and yet it results only in want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he who waters will himself be watered.”  Giving makes you become a person who refreshes others. The Bible here guarantees that those who give will themselves be refreshed! If you ever feel like you’re in a slump, if you’ve ever complained, GIVE! Proverbs 28:27 also says, “He who gives to the poor will never want, but he who shuts his eyes will have many curses.” There’s another promise that’s attached with giving, YOU LACK NOTHING.

You’re not doing what you should - Jonah 4:2, says “So he complained to the LORD about it: “Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, LORD? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people.” See, Jonah complained about a whole bunch of stuff to justify his disobedience. We all know the book of Jonah and what happened to him. If you’ve disobeyed God’s instruction in your life, you will NEVER be satisfied. 

You’re comfortable. Being a Christian is an ACTIVE thing. Faith in God only exists in the present, the right now. Just because you’ve been a believer for 14 years doesn't mean it will carry you into eternity. John 14:21 says, “Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, is he who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” I’ve yet to meet someone who has a close relationship with God and complains. I’ve yet to meet someone who speaks to God on a daily basis and feels unhappy. John 14:21 is SO CLEAR. Those who keep and do what God commands are those who love God and are those that God loves! It doesn't end there! It promises us that God will show up and will reveal Himself to those who love Him. Matthew 28:19 says “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”. Too many people know this scripture and do nothing about it. They live a mundane, ordinary life and wonder why they feel discontent. We must do our part for God to do His! Win souls! Lay your hands on the sick! Take care of the hungry! You have a part to play. Those who do what God commands are those who don't have time to wonder why their lives are lame and fruitless! When you commit fully to God’s Word, that feeling of dissatisfaction flees!

Complaining Repels God


Then the whole community of Israel set out from Elim and journeyed into the wilderness of Sin, between Elim and Mount Sinai. They arrived there on the fifteenth day of the second month, one month after leaving the land of Egypt. There, too, the whole community of Israel complained about Moses and Aaron.
“If only the Lord had killed us back in Egypt,” they moaned. “There we sat around pots filled with meat and ate all the bread we wanted. But now you have brought us into this wilderness to starve us all to death.”


— Exodus 16:1-3

Did you notice that? It took but ONE measly month for God’s people to forget about the INCREDIBLE things God did on their behalf. Can you imagine that?! They witness countless of supernatural plagues on their enemies and complete freedom from 400 years of slavery. God protected their families and cattle and parted the waters so they could walk on dry land. Now, they're complaining?!

If you continue to read the scriptures you’ll soon begin to notice a pattern with the God’s people.

A supernatural move of God
A bit of opposition
Huge amounts of people complaining and murmuring
A demise of God’s people though plague or something crazy.

One would only be led to conclude that GOD HATES COMPLAINING.

The miracles, signs and wonders they saw with their eyes should have given them enough faith to face any and ALL kinds of opposition! So the water was a little bitter…you were just led to this area by a pillar of fire by night and cloud by day! So you don't have meat to eat, you were just freed from 400 years of slavery loaded up with silver and gold from your enemies!

There is no good reason to complain. In fact, when you do, your demise it at hand. Complaining about your life and current circumstances will open the door to sickness and disease. Constant murmuring and despising the things God has already done in your life will make you prey for the devil. Don’t do it!! On verse 7 of the same chapter it says " In the morning you will see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard your complaints, which are against him, not against us. What have we done that you should complain about us?” Your complaints may seem directed at your husband or a co-worker but really, they're aimed at God. When you complain, you questions God's integrity. When you complain you doubt the God who saved you from hell and healed your body! Ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of anything with the slightest twinge of sounding like a complaint! In Jesus Name!

At those moments, where it would be easy to complain and state the obvious of what's happening around you, praise God. Thank Him. Just like complaining repels God, praise magnetizes Him to you! Try it out!

 

12 Days To Perfect Love - The Purpose For Perfect Love

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
— John 3:16

The Love of God has a purpose to it. God loved us so much that He gave the only thing He had to give, His Son, Jesus. For the last twelve days, we’ve studied the power of God’s love. We’ve come to realize the potency of its effects on our lives and the incredible ability it has to drive away the darkness. This love is readily available through spending time in prayer and God’s Word. So, now, what?

Some of you began this study thinking there was no way out of darkness and despair but you’ve learned the truth. The devil has a way of deceiving us into thinking there’s no way out. The Word of God says in John 8:32 “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” The truth of God’s Word is the ammo needed to take your enemy out. There will come a point in your walk with Christ (for some of you that’s NOW) where the Word of God will overwhelm your mind and thoughts. You’ll come to this realization when people say things against the Word. Upon hearing the phrases, “I’m broke!” and “I know I’m going to get sick,” your skin will crawl. 

The purpose of being filled with this love doesn't end at conquering your fear. It doesn't end with you never having a sad day in your life. It doesn't stop when your health is perfect, and everything is great. The purpose of this love is to distribute it. 

Matthew 10:8 says, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” There she is! As you’ve freely received the victory over your problem, you must freely give it. You need to tell other about the power of Jesus! It’s your duty! The beautiful thing about this perfect love is that it actually casts out all fear!! You become bold. The devil may have messed with you, but God turned it around! You were as good as dead, but God came in and saved you! Remind yourself of that. 

It’s too good to hoard it. Dish it out! Do whatever you can to help your sisters or brothers. You recognize the look of depression, pray over someone and break the stronghold over their life. You know what it is to be sick, lay your hands on someone and see them healed! The love of God COMPELS us!

2 Corinthian 5:14-15 says, “For the love of Christ controls and compels us, because we have concluded this, that One died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake.” Verse 17 continues, “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” The love that Paul and Timothy experienced compelled them to tell people about Jesus. They couldn't keep it to themselves. They risked their lives to do it. This is the purpose of perfected love!

The answer is Jesus Christ. The remedy is Jesus Christ. The joy is Jesus Christ. The fulfillment is Jesus Christ. The healing is Jesus Christ. Jesus made it possible for us to experience this love. He made it possible for us to be saved. It was through the shed blood of Jesus that we become more than conquerors! How can we keep that to ourselves?!

“Father, thank you for the sacrifice of your Son. Thank you, that He made a way where there was no way. Thank you for the precious blood of Jesus that cleanses and renews. Thank you that Jesus made it possible for me to live eternally with you. You’ve made His name the name above ALL others. Every name bows to the name of Jesus. Fear bows. Cancer bows. Depression bows. Death bows. If it has a name, His name is greater! As I continue to tap into the overflow of your love, use me to spread it! Make me a channel of your love that distributes it to a lost and dying world. Your love compels me to GO and make disciples. Your love compels me to lay my hands on the sick and see them recover. Your love compels me to love the unlovable. Use me today, to tell people about this glorious freedom. Use me and my testimony to spread the Gospel all around the world. In the mighty name of Jesus!”

12 Days To Perfect Love - Love Conquers All


No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
— Romans 8:37-39


God has made you a conqueror! The scriptures have illuminated a better way to live. Fear becomes a thing of the past. What you used to write off as natural is now revealed as an enemy. Sleepless nights, anxiety, panic attacks, and worry have now become signs of something that’s terribly wrong. In just these few days your mentality has changed. This is what’s so wonderful about the Bible!

There’s no power in coping or sympathy. The power lies in the God you know. See, some people don't press in to know Him, so they work in what they know; a little God with little result. Some people press in to know more, like you and they see a BIG GOD and get BIG RESULTS. Romans 8:37 lets us in on the secret to becoming more than conquerors, God’s love! 

Being more than a conqueror guarantees you win every battle. You get to go into a fight knowing Jesus paid the price to give you the victory. Not sometimes or on the days you feel joy, you win EVERY time. Remind yourself of that. The rest of Romans 8:37-39 tell us about the greatness of this love. We can never be separated from this immense love! We can’t even comprehend it; it’s so big! If your battle is great, remind yourself of how GREATER God’s love is for you. With the vast love of God, we can conqueror all! 

Prayer & Confession:

“Father, I love you. I know the love I have for you pales in comparison to the love you have for me. Help me today, to understand the greatness of your love. Thank you, that with your love, I can get through anything. Your love is the key to my success. Your love makes me more than a conqueror. No power can stand against your love. There's nothing that’s happening right now or things that will happen in the future that can stand up next to your love. DEATH itself can’t separate this love you have for me! I rejoice in this truth! Let my life be lived to reciprocate your love. Let all that’s within me love you the way you love me! I give you my life, Lord! It’s the very least I can do to show you my gratitude. I’ll do what you want me to do, go where you want me to and say what you want me to say. You are worthy of it all! In Jesus’ name!”


Do Something:

Get in your prayer closet and give God a crazy thanksgiving praise. Not worship. PRAISE HIM. Dance like a madman. Let everything inside of you give God the glory He deserves! Do it for a minimum of 20 minutes. If you don't have 20 minutes do it until the back of your head gets sweaty. 

12 Days To Perfect Love - A Dad's Love

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
— 1 John 4:18

 

Perfect love drives out fear. It’s the Word you take in that will determine the level of your love. The level of your love will determine the degree of power that will be projected through your life. A little Word, a little power. A lot of Word, A LOT of power. You are the determining factor. Your husband or wife, pastor or parent won’t be able to force these things on you. You and only you have to potential to strive or fail. 

The Bible says in 1 John 4:18, “The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” Why? Because of fear of punishment. Romans 8:15 says, “For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!” The slavery to fear is directly connected to your perception of God. 

Would you fear the wrath of a parent who’s patient, merciful, full or compassion and love? Of course not! The fear we have is the perception of a hard master looking to strike down anyone at any given time. Your confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life gave you the access to sonship with God. You are His child, and He loves you very much.

Already, a heavy load is lifting off of you because of this wonderful reality. The reality that God is a God looking out for His children. He doesn't want to harm you! He wants the best for you! 

You must change your perception of God as a hard Master to that of a good Dad! It’s only then that you can come “come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16) May that Spirit of Boldness come on you right now! No more whimpering. No more whining. No more timidity. It’s time to be bold!

Prayer & Confession:

"God most High of Heaven and earth, thank you! You are the Rock of my Salvation. You are the Begining and the End. You're the Author and Perfecter of my faith. I bless your name. Today, I ask for an endowment of boldness! Fill me with the boldness of a lion! I look to you as a good Dad, not one who's looking for my demise. You love me so much, you count the hairs on my head! I receive the power to be your child! I receive the knowledge of who I am in You. Thank you, God! In Jesus' name!"


Do Something:

Keep little postcards of scriptures that minister to you. Put them in your back pocket. When the devil tries to lie to you, pull them out and read them aloud. Combat every demonic thought with the Word of God. Jesus did! 

12 Days To Perfect Love - No More Loneliness

 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

— John 1:1

You’ll never encounter God’s perfect love without knowing who He is. Can you imagine walking up to a stranger and professing your love to them? How can you fall in love with someone you don't know? How can you lift your hands to God in adoration, when you don’t have the slightest idea of who He is?

John 1:1 reveals a powerful revelation; God and His Word (the Bible) are one in the same. God, the Father has given us His Word so that we could find out who He is. At this moment, you have the potential of finding things out about God that would leave you speechless. He wants each one of us to encounter Him through His Word. 

Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” When you pick up your Bible, you aren't reading an ordinary book. This book is ALIVE and ACTIVE. When you read it, you activate power to be released on your behalf. When you take time in the study of God’s Word, you spend time with God!

One of the biggest problems people face today is loneliness. In the midst of the crowds and your eight hundred Facebook friends, people still feel alone. The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 31:6, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God is trying to speak to you, but He won't be able to until you decide to read His letter! He says He’ll never leave you alone or abandon you. He’s with you through it all! 

 Every problem, every sickness, every disease and every unanswered question has an answer! It’s found in Him, and “Him” is the Word of God! He’s your Father. Would a father want his kids walking around aimlessly? Boggled down with every care in this world? No!(Not a good father, anyway.) The beginning of a glorious, impactful, love-filled life begins with the knowledge of who He is. Get to know God today.!


Prayer and Confession:

“Heavenly Father, I thank you for your faithfulness towards me! Thank you for never giving up on me. When I made stupid decisions, you had mercy on me. When I sinned, you forgave me. I know you’ll never leave me and you’ll never abandon me. When I have those feeling of loneliness, I know it doesn't come from you! Your Word remains true whether I feel it or not. You are always with me! Thank you for being a good Dad! Today I ask you to reveal yourself to me. Speak to me through your Word. Let every Word I hear and read penetrate deep down into my spirit. I will give your Word first place in my life. I will spend time with you. I will fall deeper and deeper in love with you. You’re a wonderful God! In Jesus’ name!”

Do Something:

Get a journal! When you read God’s Word have a pen and a journal ready. Don’t read the Bible out of habit. Come in with expectancy. Start reading your Word KNOWING He’ll speak to you and He absolutely will!

12 Days To Perfect Love - Experience The Love Of God

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.
— John 14:21

Being aware that something is available to you doesn't automatically make it yours. Chocolate is available for me to purchase at any time. It’s until I go and purchase that chocolate that it becomes mine. After I get it, I can enjoy the fruit of my efforts! It’s the same thing with the things of God. Knowing God loves you is just the first part. The next step is tapping into this love and power. How?


1 John 5:3, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.” It’s until you connect yourself to the Word of God that you’ll experience LOVE. If you cut yourself off from the circulation of God’s Word, you’re a dead man walking. It’s that serious! Keeping His commandments means knowing the commandments. Too many Christians don't know God’s Word which is why they’re destroyed (Hosea 4:6).

Notice the last part of 1 John 5:3, “His commandment are not burdensome,” in other words, they won’t weight you down and they’re not difficult! The Word of God is light, and it breaks every heavy yolk (Matthew 11:30). If your perception of reading the Bible has always been negative, change it. It’s what’s going to sustain, change you and bring love…the perfect kind. 

Prayer & Confession:

“Heavenly Father, thank you for sending us your Word. Your perfect will for my life is available and at my disposal. Today I ready myself to be a student of your Word and to meditate on it day and night. I will grow in your love by keeping your commandments. Father, give me the grace to read your Word. Holy Spirit, open my eyes and my heart to receive everything I need as I read the Bible. Every distraction is broken NOW, In Jesus’ name. May I never stray away from your Word. Let there never be a day that passes where my spirit doesn't hunger for more of your Word. In the name of Jesus, I pray.”

Do Something:

Matthew 7:24 says, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” To take in God’s Word doesn't mean just reading it. Today, find an App that allows you to hear men and women of God who can preach the full council of God’s Word. Then, listen to it all the time. With today’s technology, it’s impossible not to find something that can help increase your knowledge of God’s Word/LOVE.

12 Days To Perfect Love - Basic Love 101


And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
— 1 John 4:16

 

If you haven't experienced God’s perfect love, you haven't experienced love. John 4:7 says, “Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” This is why there are so many problems in our world today. There are millions of people who are living a life of strife and hatred because they've never experienced love. 

Love from God isn't conditional. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” God loved the WORLD; that’s YOU. Before you were even a twinkle in your mother’s eye, God loved you. Before your very existence, God had a plan for you. He had loved you before you sinned. He loved you so much that He gave the only thing He could give, His Son. He did it so that nothing would be able to separate you from His love (Romans 8:31-39). 

Our finite minds couldn’t understand the depth of His love because there’s no end to it! Ephesians 3:16-19 says, “ I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,  may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

The love of God can establish you. When you understand the fullness of His love, you’ll be empowered to fulfill His destiny for your life. Lacking NOTHING! Can you imagine living a life where you lack nothing?! It’s POSSIBLE. That’s why we need to understand this love, for us to perfect it.

1 John 4:18 says “Perfect love casts out all fear.” When you tap into God’s perfect love, nothing can compete. There’s no opposing force that can come against you. When you work in this fullness, no harm can be done or sickness that can dwell around you. When you’re filled with love, every thought of sadness, sorrow, and defeat has to go. Let’s make this year the year you experience TRUE love. When you do, it will overflow into every aspect of your life.

Prayer & Confession:

“Father, thank you for your love for me. I’ve done nothing to deserve it, but I receive it. Thank you for all you’ve offered me in the form of your Son, Jesus. It’s through Him that I’m able to experience life eternal. It’s through Jesus that you showed how much you love me. I pray that I would be strengthened with power through you Spirit in my inner being. I ask you, Father, to give me the ability to grasp how wide and long and high and deep your love truly is. As you reveal this truth to me, Lord, let me walk in the fullness of who you are! Fill me a new and a fresh with love! Make me an example of a person that has the fullness of your Spirit working within them. Thank you for your faithfulness. I adore you! In Jesus’ name.”

Read the book of Ephesians today. The way to experience God’s love is by getting to know who He is. 

12 Days To Perfect Love - The Start Of A Fearless Life


Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
— Psalm 107:19-20

Coming to God when you’re in trouble is the BEST thing you could do. Coming to Him ONLY when you’re in trouble is foolish. The Bible says in our trouble, God saves us out of our distress. How? His WORD. The Word of God shouldn't be placed on a bookshelf to catch dust. The Word of God is sent to deliver us from destruction! The Word of God is sent to HEAL us. You need to make up your mind right now to serve Him at all times, not only when it’s convenient or when you're in trouble. It’s time we see God not only as our salvation but the One who rescues us when we’re in trouble and the One who keeps sickness and disease far from our midst (Exodus 23:25).

The Bible says in Psalm 40:2, “He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” In your darkest hour, there’s someone who can take care of you. The days of feeling like you’re in a deep dark pit are over. Those feelings of despair and hopelessness are gone! The knowledge of who God is and what He wants to do in your life is the first step to overcoming every oppression of the devil. When you come to the understanding of Gods love and passionate devotion toward you, every problem melts away.

It’s this knowledge that will keep you healthy and whole. It’s this commitment that will keep sickness and disease at bay. We see these cycles happened throughout the Bible. There was a generation that knew God, another that knew of Him, and yet another generation that knew NOT God (Judges 2:10). It’s the generation that doesn't know God that ends up being the ones that get brutally attacked by the devil repeatedly. Today you must take a stand against the devil and his schemes. Today is the day you’ll decide to be a faithful follower. Today be known as the generation that knows God. Don’t allow anything to get in the way. God is your source of help but He’s also your shield against every attack of the devil.

Prayer & Confession:

"Father I love you! Thank you for sending your Word. Thank you for already providing me the answers to every problem in my life, even those that haven't happened yet!! Thank you that I don't have to live a life full of defeat and darkness. As I cling to you and your Word, thank you for divinely assisting me. I receive my healing from your Word. I receive my victory from your Word. Thank you for giving me ammunition in the form of your Word. I will choose this day to follow you all the days of my life. I won't allow the things around me to dictate my dedication to you. I will serve you. I'm sold out to you, and only you. I praise you for the wonderful God you are. Thank you for making a way where there was no way. Thank you for rescuing me, Lord! In Jesus' name!"

Do Something:

Get to church! It's of the utmost importance for you to be planted in a church. The Word of God tell us in Jeremiah 17:8, "He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” You are the tree he's talking about. Are you planted? The last time I checked, trees don't move! A tree planted by the river is never in distress when problems come. Their roots are deep. Jumping from church to church or choosing not to go at all will be a source of frustration and stagnation in your life. If you have to move, MOVE! It's really that important.
