Two Conditions For Blessings Or Curses

“If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the best of the land;
But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
— Isaiah 1:19-20

You have the power to determine the outcome of your life. Those determining factors or conditions are for blessings or curses. Your life can go where you want it to go. The question therein is, are you willing AND obedient?

You can be willing to stand for prosperity but will you work harder than anyone in your field? You may be willing to live a life free from sickness and disease but have you allowed the elders of your church to anoint you with oil and pray the prayer of faith over you? You may be willing to become a Christian but are you obedient from abstaining from sin and wickedness? You see, it's not good enough to be willing, you must also be obedient!

Sadly, some people aren’t even willing! They aren’t willing to take a stand for the Word of God. They aren’t willing to change. They aren’t willing to believe God for bigger and better. Let that not be said of you!

Isaiah 1:19-20 lays out the conditions for us plainly.

The two conditions of blessings

1. Willingness- Are you ready for change? Do you want to believe God's Word?
2. Obedience- Have you done what the Word of God has instructed you to do?

The two conditions for cursing

1. Refusal- Are there thing in God's Word you refuse to believe in?
2. Rebellion- Do you know the things you do are bad but choose to do them anyway?

Break down why  the blessing of God isn’t flowing through you. These conditions must be met in order to attain God’s promises! They cannot be overlooked and ignored. If there's lack, have you met the conditions?
