Catch What's Thrown At You

The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you.

— Philippians 4:9

If a catcher misses or drops the ball the pitcher threw at him, things could get ugly. To ensure the strike, the catcher needs to catch the ball. Life’s biggest frustrations can be avoided if you catch what the preacher is saying!

Whether you’re listening to your pastor or an evangelist, it’s not enough to hear the preaching. Paul and Timothy told the Philippians to put into practice the things they had learned, heard and seen. I love the Amplified version because it says “[in daily life]. The problems you see now is directly related to the lack of application of things you’ve learned, heard and seen.

Unfortunately, lots of people go to a church where they learn, hear and see things that have zero value to their daily walk. If you want to see  a breakthrough in your life, finances, or body, you must get connected with someone who preaches the WHOLE Bible. If you are connected to solid preaching, go to receive! Pull out your notebooks and get hungry. Write down things that strike your spirit. Absorb then implement it.

A solid Christian will do this on the daily. Continue to keep God’s Word before you and then think of ways to implement (ACTIONS) them in your daily life. Your victory over the devil lies in what you catch from the Word of God. Strike that devil out!
