Why can't I feel God's presence?

The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].
— John 14:21

A lot of Christians base their walk with God on a mere feeling. You need to make up your mind today to let go of what you feel and cling onto the Word of God. But did you know His Word promises that God will make Himself real to us?

The Bible simply states, if you love God, you obey His Commandments. ALL OF THEM. Not the ones that we deem more convenient from day to day, ALL OF THEM. The Ten Commandments are a start, but there’s more to what He commands from every believer. When you delve into the scriptures and adhere to His Word, we chose to LOVE GOD. When we abstain from the things that He calls sin, we choose to LOVE GOD.

There’s a promise when we do; “I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself REAL to him.” If you feel as though God is distant or just not real, the answer therein lies with you. You need to make yourself a student and doer of the Word of God. The more you take in and apply to your life, the more attention you’ll get from God. Themore attention you get God, the more you’ll clearly see Him in your life. Why? Because He said He would reveal Himself to those who OBEY.
