You’ll Attract What You Focus On

Because he has focused his love on me, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name. When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in his distress. I will deliver him, and I will honor him.
— Psalm 91:14-15

Have you ever seen those people in church who are always sensing the devil? They always talk about his power. They always magnify what he’s doing. I’ve noticed that type of person hardly ever has a pull with unsaved people. Those who dwell on what the devil is up to are usually alone, they have a gift of repelling people! Why? Because they see some weird stuff! The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. What you focus on will be what’s attracted to you.

Whatever object you observe when looking through a magnifying glass gets BIGGER. You begin to notice details you’d never been aware of and the object at hand is usually the only thing in view. It’s the same with what you believe in. If your focus is on the demonic, the devil will gladly accommodate your interest. If your focus is on the sickness in your body, it will get BIGGER. If you’re constantly thinking about failure, you’ll soon get there.

When you magnify God, however, the perspective will change. What seemed so big, will pale in comparison with God and His power. When you take your eyes off of your sickness/problems and place them on the unlimited strength of God, your faith will kick into a new gear. With that faith will come supernatural results.

Your problems will continue until your focus becomes steadfast on Him. Proverbs 4:25-27 says, “Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” That’s a word for someone today! Don’t get sidetracked. Stay focused on the greatness of God. Don’t get distracted from what’s around you, keep your eyes on God! Don’t let the devil keep you from God’s promises. Magnify God!

Psalm 34:1-3 " I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together."

Take time today and make God BIGGER in your life. If you praise and magnify God your whole life will turn around for the better. In Jesus name!
