“Sometimes He says ‘Yes’, sometimes He says ‘No’, sometimes He says ‘Wait’.” I know you’ve heard people say that phrase before. If people are saying this about a specific thing that is happening in regard to a direction in life, God may say those things. If, however, you’re praying concerning things promised to you in the Bible, this cute little phrase is bogus.
I’ve heard many people take this approach to healing, salvation, and blessings. Don’t perish for lack of knowledge! Having a stance of uncertainty is doubt. Doubt is the active agent AGAINST faith. You must know what the promises of God are and stand firm in them.
The Word says His promises are Yes and Amen! That means they belong to you and they belong to you NOW. Most people will live their lives with sickness and pain in their body because they don't know healing belongs to them. Most people will make room for depressions because they think God want’s them to suffer with it to teach them a lesson. Don’t buy into that nonsense!
The promises are there for you but they must be activated. You have to receive them by faith, just like you received your salvation. You don’t need to pray to receive something God has already given you. You tell the pain, cancer, whatever it is, to GO in the name of Jesus and it simply has to go.
Don’t make the mistake of taking the “God if you want it done, do it” stance. He’s already done all He could. It’s up to YOU to take what belongs to you, through the blood of Jesus! YOU must do something about your family going to hell. YOU must do something about children dying of starvation. YOU must do something about that sickness on your mom.
God never wrote “These signs shall follow them who are ministers... they shall lay hand on the sick…” it says “These signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE!” That’s YOU! Quit asking God to do something He made you responsible for! It’s totally up to YOU!
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. -Mark 16:17-18
