It’s never ever good to do something God has commanded you NOT to do. Just as He’s commanded us NOT to sin, God has also commanded for us NOT to fear. A command is a rule that’s set in place. A command is not an option. You can't pick and choose which commandment to keep according to how you feel or what you're going through; a commandment is final, it's MANDATORY. If your workplace had a mandatory meeting, there would be repercussions if you choose not to attend. It’s the same with a command of God. If you don't do it, there will be a penalty.
Let’s have our minds blown and read Revelation 21:8,
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Look at the buddies that hang around fear. The first one is unbelief. Unbelief and fear work hand in hand. When you fear, you work in unbelief, and when you’re in unbelief, it opens a door for all kinds of crazy. That’s why we must shut the door to fear, no if, and, or, buts about it. We have to recognize the things in our lives that are pulling us away from the perfect life God wants us to live.
Unmask fear for what it is. You are commanded not to kill, steal or FEAR. Every person that was ever mightily used of God had to at one point or another cut fear from their life. In an angelic encounter, most of the angels had to start their message with a “Fear not!” Don’t allow the devil to rob you of a glorious future. Don’t allow fear to take you out of God’s best. Fear not! Your destiny depends on it!
Prayer & Confession:
“Heavenly Father, thank you for the truth of your Word. Thank you for revealing to me what fear is. Thank you for unmasking what’s behind the spirit of fear. Today and every day after, I will choose to shut the door to fear. You’ve commanded me not to fear, and that’s exactly what I’ll do. I will no longer give any room for fear in my life. I recognize it as an enemy to my destiny! So I thank you for the power found in your Word to overcome and be victorious'. Thank you for boldness! Thank you for joy unspeakable! I give you all the praise! In Jesus' name!”
Have you given God praise for setting you free from fear, depression, and anxiety? Take time today to praise God for all He’s done and all He’s going to do.
