As we prepare for this upcoming school year, we MUST pray for our children. It’s important to take time out of our hectic schedules to cover them with prayer and blessings. Don’t do this alone, have them be a part of it. Do it as a family! Our children are very intuitive. When they start the school year being consecrated to God, they will directly connect favor and blessing to Him!
In preparation of this new season, maximize the growth by teaching them things far more valuable then mathematic, english or gymnastics. Make time for Jesus! Study His Word! Talk about His Word. You only have them for a few short years before they begin life on their own. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.”
With a new school year, introduce new habits. Start the day praying for them and reading the Word. On the way to school, listen to the preaching of God’s Word or praise music. Remember what Joshua 1:8 says, “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
If you develop these habits in your life, you and your children will experience the move of God like never before!
The Prayer of Divine Assistance:
Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying,
“This is the way, walk in it,”
Whenever you turn to the right hand
Or whenever you turn to the left.
“Heavenly Father, thank you for_________________,
As they begin this new school year may your voice be their continual lead and guide. Let every step they take be ordained by You. As we seek Your will in all we do, thank You for showing us which path to take. Thank you that my children won’t be lost. Thank you for your hand at work in their lives. Thank you that they won’t ever wonder what their purpose in life is. From this moment forward, thank you for leading my children in the perfect path they should take. When the enemy tries to tempt them, thank you that Your powerful voice will arise and show them the way out! May they always hear your voice in all they do.
We bless them. We bless the school. We bless the student body. Thank you for showering us with blessing and favor!
In Jesus name we pray! AMEN”
