Fear God Get Knowledge

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline
— Proverbs 1:7

Fear in this scripture is defined as “a holy awe or reverence of God and his laws.” We all must seek the knowledge of God but if we don't have a reverent fear and awe for Him or His laws, we’ll never get our answers! Webster’s Dictionary goes on to say, “leading the subjects of it to hate and shun everything that can offend such a holy being, and inclining them to aim at perfect obedience.”

We’ve been trained to be afraid of everything. We innately carry that same fear into the things of God. There are people who are scared of God because they think He’s a hard master, ready to strike them dead with lightning. True fear of God hates what God hates. True fear of God refuses to do anything that would offend the Holy Ghost. When we do things to please Him, we invoke true knowledge.

Knowledge brings life. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children” That’s heavy!  The reason the problem stays is because you haven't received the knowledge to move the mountain! This lack of knowledge not only effects YOU, it affects your children!

Today, ask God to fill you with knowledge. Ask Him to remove anything that would repel wisdom and discipline. Remove pride from your life that would hinder God’s correction thus allowing ignorance to prevail. In the name of Jesus!

Born Again But Not Transformed

And so, dear brothers and sisters,a I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

— Romans 12:1-2

Some people are born again but never allow the Word to transform their lives. When you get saved God changes the inside but you’re the one that must change the outside! If you suffer defeat, if there’s no difference between you and the people in the world, you must  be transformed!

Romans 12:2 gives us insight about the Christian who’s not transformed by the Word. They still live in defeat. They suffer addiction. They fall prey to sickness. There’s seemingly no difference between them and someone without the Lord. The difference comes from how much you allow the Word of God to transform you.

It’s not enough for you to read the Word, you must believe it enough to transform you—your MIND. Change the way you think. One of the greatest obstacles in person’s mind is the way they think. If you think defeat, defeat will come. If you think failure, failure will make its way to you! Until you let the Word change your mind, you’ll allow it to transform your heart! It’s then that you can combat every attack satan throws at you by your spoken word!

Seek Peace And Pursue It

They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it.

— 1 Peter 3:11

The devil will try to throw things in your life to get you to lose your peace. We must be diligent about keeping our peace! I find 1 Peter 3:11 very interesting, it says you must “seek the peace and pursue it”. Peace doesn’t search for you, you must search after it.

Don’t let the enemy rob you of your peace. If he robs you of peace, he’ll also help himself to your joy! Proverb 4:23 says,“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.” How do we guard our heart? Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This is why we must pursue peace! In order to protect our hearts, we must protect the peace!

Every problem in your life has its root in a loss of peace. Your peace may have been stolen because of a child who left the faith or a health issue that suddenly came on you. Whatever the cause, seek the peace! The only kind of peace is the one that stems from God. It’s the peace that defies emotion and reason— exceeding anything you can understand!

Psalm 23 is good reminder for us as to why we should seek and continue to be in pursuit of peace. Read it every day and understand what’s available to every child of God who makes Jesus the Great Shepherd of their life.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd;

I have all that I need.

He lets me rest in green meadows;

He leads me beside peaceful streams.

He renews my strength.

He guides me along right paths,

    bringing honor to his name.

Even when I walk

    through the darkest valley,[a]

I will not be afraid,

for you are close beside me.

Your rod and your staff

    protect and comfort me.

You prepare a feast for me

in the presence of my enemies.

You honor me by anointing my head with oil.

    My cup overflows with blessings.

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me

all the days of my life,

and I will live in the house of the Lord

    forever.

Your 24 Hour Turn Around

Then David asked the LORD, “Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?” And the LORD told him, “Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!”

— 1 Samuel 30:8

This is the Word of The Lord for you today. It’s time to go after it. What? Everything the devil has taken from you! You don’t have to wait 15 years for your turnaround. God can make the change you need in 24 hours! In the Book of Second Kings 7, we see how the Israelite’s spent years in destruction, desolation and famine but one Word from the Lord turned it all around— in less than a day!

If God created the world in 6 days, what makes you think your problem is too great to turn around in one day?! What you need is a Word. It all starts with the Word of the Lord for your turnaround. The next time you pass by a bible or your phone remember that in it lies the power for your 24-hour turnaround!

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve suffered with depression, God can bring you joy! In fact, that's a word for you! Psalm 30:5 says “Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Set yourself up for the win. Don’t see yourself the way you’ve seen yourself, picture the turnaround! Go after it! It lies waiting for you— all you need is to muster up enough courage to say “Enough is enough!”

Those men with leprosy in 2 Kings 7 decided to go after it, even if it meant death! 2 Kings 7:3-4 says, “Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, “Why stay here until we die? If we say, ‘We’ll go into the city’—the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let’s go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die.” Why suffer with your problem one more day?

When you step out in faith with the Word of God in tow, you’ll soon find out your enemy has vanished! Everything the devil stole from you has been there waiting for you to discover and take back!

Are You Willing?

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
— Isaiah 1:19

The blessing of God comes to those who are obedient AND WILLING. There are lots of times in my life where I may have been obedient but my heart wasn’t willing. I knew it was right for me to walk away and not get angry, but my heart wasn’t ready to forgive! In everything we do, we must be willing.

We must be willing to believe God, trust in God and do what’s right at the sake of our own pride or plans. The thing is, there’s no greater plan at work than the plans of God for our lives. There’s no other person who’s rooting us on for success like God. There’s no one in the world who loves us as much as God. When we understand this, it’s easy to be willing! It’s easy to TRUST!

Our willingness comes from our awareness. If I told you to read your bible everyday, some of you would obey. If I told you, however, to read your bible everyday because I’d give you a new car, you’d read your bibles WILLINGLY! There’s benefits in serving God. There’s rewards for serving Him faithfully and it’s not just heaven! Get in your Word and see the benefits and begin to willingly obey.

Freedom From Guilt & Condemnation

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

— Romans 8:1

The Webster’s dictionary defines condemn as “ To pronounce to be utterly wrong; to utter a sentence of disapprobation against; to censure; to blame. But the word often expresses more than censure or blame, and seems to include the idea of utter rejection.” Most Christians that are raised in church or have been saved for more than a few years will have condemnation as their biggest hurdle to their faith.

Guilt or condemnation if allowed, will choke out the seed of God’s Word in your heart. This is the tactic the devil will use to weaken your faith.  Think about the power of condemnation, it puts blame on you and pronounces the right things you’re doing as WRONG! Condemnation tries to prove your faith wrong!  This is the breeding ground for DOUBT!

Maybe you’ve had a well meaning person ask you  “What door did you open for this attack to happen?” or “If you were stronger in faith, this wouldn't have happened!” The last thing you want to meditate on is failure! This is the first step in the devils attempt to destroy your walk with the Lord.

John 3:17 says, “ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” God’s not in heaven ticked off that you took an advil. He’s not in heaven ready to pronounce a curse on you because you took your child to the doctors. Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty! Don’t allow yourself to feel condemnation in an area of attack!  If you allow this to happen, chances are, you’re going to want to quit!

I often wonder  why people who get saved received their miracles so quickly and it’s because of condemnation. As a new believer, it’s easy to trust and rely on God to come through for you because you’ve not allowed condemnation or religion to intercept your faith! Why does the average christian allow themselves to be jaded in the things of God? Why can’t we remain steadfast in our faith? CONDEMNATION!

You will continue to beat yourself up over little things instead of finding out what the Word has to say and APPLYING it to your life. We’re in these bodies made of flesh and we were never guaranteed an attack free life. But we were guaranteed the VICTORY! If we allow the devil to trick us out of our promises, he’ll win every battle.

Psalm 34:22 says, “The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.” When you turn to God, He’ll never reject you or condemn you! When you do things to invoke your faith, God looks down and says, “That’s it! That’s what you should do!” In fact, you have a heavenly host of people cheering you on in this life of faith! Heb. 12:1-3 says, “ Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Throw it off! Throw off the guilt and condemnation! Throw off everything that hinders your faith from working!

Stay on this road! Don’t give up and quit! Work the works of God (John 9:4)! Be encouraged and take heart! Stay the course and watch God turn it around for you and your family! This is the best life to live! Keep your hope in God alone!

The Power Of Love

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

— 1 Cor. 13:1-3

I often think about the power of God’s love. In it lies the power to drive out all manner of fear (1 John 4:18). Love is as strong as death (SOS 8:6). Love is the brightest kind of flame (SOS 8:6). God is love (1 John 4:8). Love is what compelled God to redeem man! (John 3:16) The Love of God is the most potent force on earth!

The greatest thing we’re commanded to do is to “love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” (Matt. 22:37) If you feel insecure, if you’ve not seen your future in God, this is where you begin. When you love God, you give Him YOUR HEART. Can you imagine a man asking for a woman's hand in marriage and in return she gives him her property? A car? A phone call every once and while? It wouldn't be enough! Why? Because he wants her heart.

God loves you so much. He loves everything about you. You keep doing things to show Him you love him, but have you given Him your heart? Is He Lord over your heart? Are you spending time with Him? Have you told Him how much you love Him?

Is it possible to be saved and not love God? Absolutely! There are many Americans that reap the benefits that come along with citizenship but they haven't been drafted in the Army. See, when you give God your heart, you give Him the power over your very life! Where He tells you to go, you go. What He tells you to say, you say. What He tells you to do, you do. We must love God in order to see Him in every aspect of our life.

Are there areas in your life that are lacking? If you answered yes…Is He the Great Shepherd of your life? (Psalm 23)

The Formula For Victorious Living

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

— Phil. 4:4-9

People tend to overcomplicate the Word of God. If you simply believe It as truth and (with understanding) APPLY these principles to your life, you will have a victorious life! Phil. 4:4-9 is your formula for a fear free, overcomer’s life!

Step 1. Rejoice.

You can’t receive anything from the Lord unless you have a joyful heart. Isaiah 12:3 says, “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”  Be in constant joy!

Step 2. Let Your Light Shine!

The Amplified Bible says of this verse in Phil. 4:5, “Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is [coming soon].” You shouldn’t just be saying you’re a Christian, it should be evident to all! What you do in secret good or bad will reflect on who you are in public!

Step 3. Don’t Be Anxious

Don’t be concerned about the future! Don’t allow yourself to respect the future of a potential failure. When you allow yourself to be anxious you open the door to fear. Shut that door! Say out of your mouth “I refuse to be anxious!” I don’t care if it’s a trip you have planned or a business meeting, refuse to fret! Instead, speak to God! Cast your cares on Him because He cares for you! (1 Peter 5:7) In EVERYTHING be in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Approach God the way He should be approached—your victorious King!  Thank Him in advance for giving you the answer and DON’T STOP until you receive His PEACE. That peace is guaranteed to everyone who applies this formula.

Step 4. Think Good Things

For some people this may seem impossible. But nothing is impossible with God! (Luke 1:37) You must train your mind to stop thinking potential failure. You must convince yourself that God’s Word is the highest form of reality in your life. Divert your attention from feeling and seeing and think about what’s good, honorable, true, just, pure, lovely, commendable, excellent and worthy of praise. Your mind has the ability to take to you down roads that will lead you to death. Shut it down! Meditate on the goodness of God. Think the Word. Hold onto His promises. Don’t allow your meditation to be interrupted by doubt or lies.

Step 5. Practice It

When you believe something hard enough, you become it. That’s why we must embody peace, joy and love. We must practice what we believe! We must walk in what we say! When you give God a good name, He’ll keep your reputation impeccable! Make up your mind today that you will be a divine representation of God. You can live like Jesus here in this world! (1 John 4:17) You aren’t weak, you’re Jesus! You aren’t defeated, you’re Jesus! You can’t have sickness, you’re Jesus! You don’t have fear, you’re JESUS! Remember that when the devil tries to convince you of your nature. You have divine assistance because you’re of a new, DIVINE, nature—you’re born again!

How To Get Promoted

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

— James 4:10

Are you fed up of being in the same level? Do you think your gifts and callings aren’t being used to their full potential? Have you been frustrated that the leaders in your life have not seen the vision God has given you? Let me remind you of one little scripture found in Psalm 75:6-7 “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”

You will die in frustration looking to be “found out”. I’ve met so many wonderfully anointed and gifted people in my travels. Many of them have such incredible potential but remain in the same place for years! To their own demise, they look to a person to get their “breakthrough.” God never said, “make your case before men and convince them to hire you” or “look onto man for your way towards destiny.” The Word of God says that promotion comes from GOD!

So what’s the key element for promotion? Staying humble! If you’ve been called into ministry, this is especially for you. There’s nothing more humbling than to be called to the Work of the Lord. Who are we in comparison to Him? Did we make the world in 6 days? Do we know the amount of hair on our head? He’s the creator and maker of the whole universe and He’s called us to do His work?! Amazing. So why be frustrated? Why try to take matters into our own hands? If God called you, He’ll make a way— but you must look onto HIM!

Humble defined is “Lowly; modest; meek; submissive; opposed to proud, haughty, arrogant or assuming. In an evangelical sense, having a low opinion of one's self, and a deep sense of unworthiness in the sight of God.” Are you there yet? If you think you’re the next Beyonce or the next best preacher this world has ever heard, you’re missing it! Don’t do things to esteem yourself or your talents, GIVE GOD THE GLORY!

If you continue to look for people’s approval, you’ll fall prey to their criticism. If you look to God to promote you (staying teachable and submissive), you’ll never care about the opinions of man! When you develop that confidence, there won’t be anything that stops you from accomplishing God’s will for your life. When you rely on God, He’ll take you where no man has ever gone or could ever take you! Don’t allow pride to set in, get rid of it once and for all! (Proverbs 11:2)

Don't Fear, Trust God!

When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
— Psalm 56:3

Fear isn’t seasonal. If you’ve ever wondered why fear creeps in, wonder no more! I woke up with Psalm 112:7 “He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord.” Most of the time fear is allowed to have access to us by the dread of bad news. Maybe there are things that bring into remembrance a time where you were sick or scared. Maybe there’s a place you drive by that reminds you of a dark place in life. Those “triggers” have the power to gain access into your mind if you don’t stop it by the Word.

If you don’t speak out the opposite of where your mind is leading you,  you’ll end up in worry. When you worry, you conjure up probabilities where the outcome leads to death. Dread is defined as “Great fear” and “an uneasiness or alarm excited by expected pain, loss or other evil.” That’s what you do when you allow that worry to infiltrate! You get uneasy or alarmed by things that you’re expecting to happen! Deut. 31:6 says, ”Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

If you disengage your mind from spiritual things, you’ll allow it to be filled with carnal things. The Bible says in Romans 8:6 “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” We must stay filled with the Word!

So what do you do when you’re in dread? YOU TRUST! Webster’s dictionary defines trust as a “Confidence; a reliance or resting of the MIND on the integrity, veracity, justice, friendship or other sound principle of another person.” To banish fear once and for all, you must trust God, once and for all! Rely and REST YOUR MND on God’s integrity and love for you. If all else fails, God never fails. If everyone let’s you down, God will never let you down. Trust in Him. Burn every thought with Gods Word, for God is a consuming fire! (Heb. 12:29) Don’t allow yourself to have death as an expectation because your expectation won’t be cut off! (Proverbs 23:18) Think about LIFE. Choose LIFE. Speak LIFE and kill fear once and for all!

You Have God's Divine Nature

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
— 2 Peter 1:4

God’s divine nature is available to everyone who believes. If you feel sick or afraid, if you don’t know where you’re going or what to do, you shouldn’t! It takes the knowledge of God’s Word to understand what can be activated on the inside of every believer. We are susceptible to this world’s corruption if we don’t enable the promises of God due us.

That’s why we must remain in the Word. We cannot take a break from it. We must come to the understanding that the forces in this world wants to see us destroyed. There must be a daily sowing of the Word in order to live a lifetime of reaping goodness and mercy. If you take a break from planting the Word of God, there will be a break from receiving God’s bountiful harvest.

All we must do is activate our faith by declaring the Word of God over our lives. Read and re-read scriptures that bring you freedom. Don’t let a day go by where you’re not reading the Word or meditating on a scripture. You have God’s divine nature running through you at this very moment.

Is God’s divine nature susceptible to fear, migraines or a blood disorder? Would God’s divine nature allow there to be the growth of tumors? Is God’s divine nature so weak, it couldn’t overcome addiction? OF COURSE NOT!! His promises (God’s Word) make it available to you right now! Take it by force and quit lingering on the worry or the thoughts of failure. You are healed. You have joy. You have faith. You are free! In Jesus’ name!

Cheer Up!

And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.

— Matthew 9:2

Webster’s Dictionary defines the word ‘cheer’ as, “To dispel gloom, sorrow, silence or apathy; to cause to rejoice; to gladden; to make cheerful.” I’ve read this story many times before but one thing stood out to me today—that word cheer! If you’ve been sick for the last 30 years or have been diagnosed with something within the last hour, you can receive your healing right now.

From the words of Jesus, it all begins with making yourself be of good cheer. As long as you keep the gloom, sorrow and silence in your life, you can never gain access to your liberty. This man with palsy got up and was made completely whole! When you accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, you accepted the forgiveness of all sin! Now, because your sins have been forgiven, each child of God has access to healing! But there’s a door you must unlock in order to access the healing— cheer!

Be of GOOD CHEER. Stir yourself up. Don’t be downcast. Don’t get in your head. Don’t remain quiet. SAY SOMETHING. Declare your healing. Magnify God. Force yourself to put a smile on your face. Be social. Crack a joke. Worship and praise God! Don’t allow yourself to worry about what could be, stay in faith and picture yourself healed. Get happy about the outcome before you see it take root on the inside of you. You’ll never know a sick day in your life again! In the name of Jesus!

Don't Buy The Lie

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.”

— Matt. 4:16

The devil is an idiot. If you keep blaming him for the bad happening in your life, you need to come to the realization that…he’s an idiot. He’s a one trick pony. Deception is his game and if you allow yourself to be manipulated and deceived, you will become his victim.

I was driving in the car over to our office thinking about the power and potency of the name of Jesus—when the Holy Spirit painted a picture in my mind. There was a person in a dark room. The devil kept whispering lies to this person and they inevitably felt hopeless and defeated. The devil continued to say things like “you’ll never be free” or “theres no way out of this”.  The more the lies, the darker the room got. BUT when the Word came in, that dark room lit up! What seemed to be chains were nothing at all. Where there was no way to get out of the room, a door appeared!

Ya’ll this is why people remain stuck! The devils deception will make you feel like it’s the end, but Jesus is the light (John 1:4) that brings you out of your despair! It might be dark but all you need is the light of God’s Word to help you see the way out! (Psalm 119:105)

Here is some light for the darkness in your life;

There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives. Exodus 23:26

You will be blessed above all the nations of the earth. None of your men or women will be childless, and all your livestock will bear young. Deut. 7:14

“For I am the Lord who heals you” Exodus 15:23

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. Psalm 147:2

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. But his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5

The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. Psalm 41:3

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.  He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Psalm 107:19-20

Jesus said to the woman, “You are now well because of your faith. May God give you peace! You are healed, and you will no longer be in pain.” Mark 5:34

“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?” Ecc. 4:9

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her.” Eph. 5:25

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. Mark 10:9

and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me. Gen. 22:18

All your children shall be taught by the Lord, And great shall be the peace of your children. Isaiah 54:13

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Cor. 10-13

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. Deut. 28:12

How To Walk By Faith

For in this hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see?
— Romans 8:24

We have to make it our business to walk in the Spirit everyday! Galatians 5:16 says, “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” Walking by the spirit not only takes effort, it takes a denial of what you see and feel. I’m not telling you to deny reality, I’m telling you to make the Word bigger than what you see.

There has been countless of times where I go to the airport, give them my I.D. and nothing comes up. I don’t have to get upset about it. I don’t have to yell at them and say, “I HAVE A TICKET” or “I WILL BE ON THAT PLANE TO CHICAGO YOU FOUL DEVIL!”. I don’t even have to pray against the computer demons of United Airway. I simply reach for my phone and show them the confirmation number. I know my ticket was purchased because I received that code. We have to do the same in the flesh everyday!

When the devil tells us “I’m sorry, health doesn't seem to belong to you”, you don't have to panic! When the enemy tries to put symptoms back on your body as though you’re not free, don’t cry about it! You have the confirmation code, it’s 1PETER224, “By His stripers we WERE healed”. The symptoms keep coming back, np! (no problem) You’ve got the confirmation code JER3017, “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds”

Forget what you see. Who cares how you feel.  2 Cor. 5:7 says, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” Live in the spirit! Dismiss what you see or feel. Tap into the fountain of Joy laid on the inside of you! You are healed. You are blessed. You are free!

I've Got Joy!

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
— Romans 15:13

There’s a difference between being happy and having joy. Happiness is usually attributed to an experience, luck or fortune. Joy is something that comes from within. Webster’s dictionary defines joy as, “The passion or emotion excited by the acquisition or expectation of good.” Look at how they define happy; “Being in the enjoyment of agreeable sensations from the possession of good.” See the difference!?

Happiness occurs once you have the possession, joy is the action of expectation before the possession! The Bible says, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11) In order for us to walk in the pleasures of life, we need to be full of joy! The only way we can be full of joy is by being in the presence of God!

Nehemiah 8:10 says, “for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Your strength, your security, your faith, it all rests in this joy! Isaiah 12:2-3 also says, “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. For the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and He also has become my salvation.” With joy you will draw water from the springs of salvation.” You need the joy of the Lord to receive anything from God!

It’s until we find our strength in God’s presence that we can receive anything from God! That’s why it’s IMPERATIVE to be in the presence of God. Too many people base their joy on an emotion or feeling and it’s the reason they continue to struggle. Once you understand that the joy lies on the inside of you, you can tap into it whenever you want!

Rejoice by faith! The Bible says in Phil. 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Stay in joy! RE-JOY. When things look bleak, JOY AGAIN! When you don’t feel Him, RE-JOY! Keep joying!! (made up word) It’s a weapon given to us to attack the enemy! Lift up your hands and declare “I have the joy of the Lord! Thank you Jesus!” Remember, Jesus bore our sorrow and grief (Isa. 53:4), don't give it one second of your time!

Stressed Out

pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

— Rom. 15:13

Decisions are made everyday. It takes you being so filled with joy and peace that you make decisions based on what’s Godly. If we’re led by our emotions we will always be led astray. That joy and peace will only come once you fully put your trust in Him.

There’s been many times where the stresses of life try to choke out my peace and joy but I must rise and make a choice. The Bible says in Deut. 30:19-20, that God gives us a choice. Life or death is the choice. There is no neutral. So if you aren't choosing life, death will pull you towards its path.

You choose life by declaring the opposite of what you see and feel (if its contrary to God’s Word).  You choose life when you pray in the Holy Spirit and allow the power to overflow to the point where your hope comes alive. You are never to be in a place of confusion or disarray. God’s given you a way out!

Don’t allow stress to choke your faith out. Stress is another word for fear! When you stress out about life, you question God’s integrity because it says in Jer. 29:11 that God’s plans for you are to prosper and never to harm you— to give you a hope and a future! Make a sacrifice of praise to the Lord and REST knowing He’s got your back and the plan needed to succeed!

Is He Lord?

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”

— Psalm 16:2

Many have made Jesus the savior of their lives but few have known Him as Lord. Webster’s dictionary defines ‘lord’ as “a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence (Superiority) to whom service and obedience are due.” To acknowledge Him as the person that saved you is one thing. To know Him as one you must serve— because that’s the least you can do — is another.

Your service and obedience are due Him! There are too many people that struggle in their walk of Christianity because they haven’t fully surrendered to the Lord. Psalm 16:2 says it so perfectly! Apart from our LORD, we have no good thing. Notice it doesn’t say “God” it says “Lord!” It’s until you make God Master over your life that you’ll begin to see goodness and mercy flow.

Is God the authority in your life? Does He have full control of you everything you do? Has been granted to power over your mind, soul and body? If you answered ‘no’ to any of these you must surrender your ALL to Him this very moment!

If someone lives in a rental property they’ve most likely signed a contract allowing them to live at that property. That contract is made up of fees, rules and regulations issued by the land lord. If the tenants don’t abide by the rules they’ll soon find themselves out on the streets or in some legal battle. The same goes for every child of God. You may have made Jesus your Savior but you haven’t made Him Lord.

Those who make God Lord of their lives have an easy time in life. They recognize the law of God’s Word and abide by it. They know the part they have to play and see the benefit of it every day. They submit their will, feelings and body to God. Once you delegate the power over to the Lord, you no longer have to do anything in your own strength! (Zech. 4:6)

Long Life Belongs To You!

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
— 1 Cor 15:55

There are many people who believe death is the ultimate enemy that has to be destroyed (1 Cor. 15:26). Yes, the Word of God says this in regards to the things to come but this does NOT give death access to our lives before our time! The Bible says in Exodus 23:26, “the number of your days I will fulfill.” Your days here on earth WILL be fulfilled.

“How can I know how long my days are Adalis?” Turn to the Word!!! Genesis 6:3 gives you the answer! “Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.” Your days to be fulfilled are 120 years! Death cannot intercept the Word of God! Look at our Elder Brother, Jesus. John 7:30 says, “Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come.”

Once you know all you’re guaranteed from God’s Word, nothing or no one can take you out! Jesus fulfilled His mission on earth and then gave His life up WILLINGLY (John 10:18). How about Paul? They stoned him in Acts 14:19-20 and he popped right up and kept preaching the Gospel. At the end of his life he declared, “ For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:6-7). Paul knew and gave his own life for the sake of the Gospel!

You’re NOT better off dead! Don’t buy that lie. This life is but a vapor (James 4:14). In the long scheme of things, your life will be a drop in the bucket in comparison to all eternity. Make it count! Fulfill your days! Think about holding your great grand babies! Think about Moses stronger than he ever was at 120! Reject DEATH! Jesus swallowed it up! And once you’ve decided to go, the transition will be all the more glorious! CHOOSE LIFE!!!

Shoot The Devil!

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

— 2 Cor. 10:5

The reason people continue to struggle is because there isn't a violence that shoots out their mouth concerning God’s Word. We cannot continue to coddle the enemies lies. We make a cute comfy home in our hearts to receive the lies and we wonder why they won't leave!

When I see a 7 foot man that’s threatening me or my family, I don't get scared. I rest knowing that the gun I carry can immediately take him down. He may threaten my life and say he’s gonna cause me danger with his hands but what I have can leave a hole in his body that’s 6 inches in diameter.  All I would have to do is pull that little trigger.

That may sound a little violent to you but its what’s happening in the spirit. Some of you have a fully loaded .45 and you don't trust it enough to pull the trigger. You may tell your enemy about the power of your .45 but unfortunately, the gun has no ammo.

The entrance of God’s Word gives light (Psalm 119:30) and brings you an understanding of whats available to you! Luke 10:19 says, “I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” If Luke 10:19 was all the scripture you needed to live a life free from torment, it would be ENOUGH!

Make up your mind RIGHT NOW to load you spirit gun with hollow point bullets. Don’t just read it and recite it. Come to understand its truth FOR YOU, then TRUST IT. God’s Word will never fail. (Luke 1:37) His Word can be trusted! (Psalm 56:4) His Word has the power to take your enemy out! (Psalm 89:23)

What To Do When The Storm Comes

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.

— Matt. 7:24-27

As we enter the “Hurricane season” I want you to remember the importance of building your house on the rock of God’s Word. Each and every one of us are not exempt from attack, but we are guaranteed victory. In fact we’re guaranteed overwhelming victory! Romans 8:37 says, “No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”

When problems arise, your foundation will be put to the test. Will it crack under pressure? Will it dismantle through the storm? The only fight you have to fight in life is the GOOD fight of faith (1 Tim. 6:12). Why is it call the “good fight”? Because a good fight is the one you win! Psalm 18:2 declares, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” God is the rock you build your life upon. In John 1:1 The Word says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” God is the Rock and the Rock is His Word.

You must have enough Word on the inside of you to rise against the storms of life. There must be a surplus of the Bible in order for you to drown out the thoughts that run contrary to goodness and mercy (Psalm 23:6). If you find yourself in a place of overwhelming defeat, I want you to read the next few scriptures. Declare them over your life and situation. GET MAD about the frustration. Get A HOLY ANGER about this attack. Then praise God for taking you through to the other side! Remember, though you WALK THROUGH the valley of the Shadow of Death, YOU WILL FEAR NO EVIL! (Psalm 23:4) WALK THROUGH WITH CONFIDENCE!
